Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Shivdevi International Logistics. These Terms & Conditions govern all domestic road transport, container trucking, cargo dispatching, and warehousing services provided by us within India. By booking a consignment or utilizing our logistics portal, you agree to comply with these contractual terms.

1. Scope of Service & Consignments

Shivdevi International Logistics acts as a carrier and logistics operator. We provide pan-India road freight transportation, express trucking, door-to-door dispatches, and warehouse storage. All bookings must include accurate declarations of cargo weight, dimensions, packaging types, and contents. The shipper is solely responsible for obtaining necessary transit documents, including GST e-way bills and local tax clearances.

2. Conditions of Carriage

To ensure safe road transit, the following conditions must be met:

Packaging: The shipper must package all goods securely to withstand standard road transport movement, loading, and unloading. We reserve the right to refuse consignments with inadequate packaging.
Prohibited Items: We do not carry hazardous chemicals, explosives, illegal contraband, weapons, or items prohibited under the Indian Motor Vehicles Act or local state laws.
Weight Limits: Shippers must comply with axle load limits set by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). Any overloading penalties levied during transit are the shipper's responsibility.

3. Liability & Claims

We take utmost care of your cargo, but our liability is contractually limited as follows:

Transit Liability: Our standard liability for loss or damage is limited according to the Carriage by Road Act, 2007. We highly recommend shippers secure comprehensive "All-Risk" inland transit insurance.
Filing Claims: All claims for cargo loss, shortage, or damage must be filed in writing within 7 days of delivery, accompanied by the original Consignment Note (LR Copy) and photographic proof.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for transit delays, losses, or failures resulting from acts of God, extreme weather, road blockages, labor strikes, national emergencies, or regulatory policy changes.

4. Warehousing & Storage Terms

Storage services at our regional terminals are charged based on space occupied (per sq ft or per pallet) and duration. Goods left in storage beyond the agreed contract terms will attract demurrage charges. Shivdevi Logistics maintains a warehouseman's lien over all stored goods, permitting us to withhold dispatch or release of cargo until outstanding warehousing dues are fully settled.

5. Billing, Payments & Lien

Freight invoices are generated based on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. Unless corporate credit terms are pre-approved, all freight charges must be paid on a "To-Pay" (on delivery) or "Paid" (advance booking) basis. Shivdevi Logistics reserves a general right of lien on all cargo in our possession for any unpaid freight charges, toll dues, or storage fees.

6. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of our road transport or warehousing services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
